Concrete poetry uses the phonetic, visual and acoustic dimensions of language as an artistic means. This form of art only wants to refer to its own means: words, letters or punctuation marks are removed from the context of language and confront the viewer in a "concrete" way, i.e. standing on their own. This linguistic demonstration is intended to be a counterpoint to linguistic overstimulation. In the "concrete poem" language no longer has a referential function. The method of concrete poetry is an anti-poetic meditation on the condition of possibility of poetic form. There is no "poem about", only a reality of the linguistic product itself.
